On May 13, Centium Software CEO Trevor Gardiner met with representatives from four Malaysian universities in Kuala Lumpur to discuss their Rising Star Education Program for aspiring meeting planners.
During the morning briefing, Mr. Gardiner reviewed the course curriculum and discussed how the Rising Star Education Program benefits event management students all over the world.
“We’ve made a major commitment to the education of young people entering the meetings industry and assisting them in learning real-world event management skills,” Mr. Gardiner said. “Event management companies world-wide have a strong need for staff that is ‘tech-savvy’ and know how to utilize modern meeting management tools.”
Mr. Gardiner noted that Centium Software has been partnering with universities and schools world-wide for over 15 years, and many students have successfully completed the Rising Star Education Program.
“Students who complete the Rising Star course not only get hands-on experience with our leading edge EventsAIR software, but they receive a Certificate that is valued by industry employers around the world on successful completion,” Mr. Gardiner said. “Students are also able to participate in our Rising Star Scholarship program, which offers ten $2,500.00 scholarships to students based on both need and academic performance.”
